oh my living room!

my friend and decorator chris b.(though that is not his real profession) tells me that if people really knew how i lived, there would be shouting in the streets..something like.."you are a sham and a fraud jill r."

because if the truth were revealed..the people..they would see that i am just a harried housewife..looking to pull a look together..but not quite getting it right all the time!  oy with the time/effort/shekels/expertise a girl can't always git what she wants..right?

having said that..we are finally getting it together (fingers crossed) here at chez lawrence et jill..having just purchased these adorbs chairs..that we hope will go with all the pillows we have collected..and the new jill r. hex rug we just laid down..a little koookay..but that's moi..and hey i AM going for genius after alls!

what is next i'm afraid is another paint conundrum..oh to find the perfect shade of pale blue grey..below is stonington from benjamin moore..but the ones below are a mystere..

thoughts?  advice?

yesterday, i woke up to these great shots taken by interior designer james light in the surya showroom down in highpoint north carolina. oh glory hallelujah!

literally, we have been waiting years for this moment..and i am truly giddy.

i was promised more shots later this week..but i thought these were fun for the moment!

rugs on the move..

do you see what i see? from the looks of it..you can order my (hex etc.) new rugs now from surya..i just found this exciting {behind the scenes} photos on their facebook page..and if you hear anything..let me know!

Rug {NEWS!}

i just heard from Surya (the good people who manufacture our rugs) that these rugs from the different collections will be in production soon and available online by this summer!

i feel like it has been a really long wait..but apparently this is how it works. stay tuned for a chevron rug design in some candy hued brights that will follow soon after.

jill rosenwald rugs part 4

surya just sent me the last of the rug designs for this season, and they really have not given me a heads up as to when the rugs aqre coming out for the public. the more that you all let them know that you want them though..i think the faster we'll see them in the market.
so let me know your reaction to all of the ones i have posted in the past week or so..and i will give them your feedback. i want to know which ones are the faves..which are the not so faves..and which are the out and out duderoonies!

rugs part 3

it looks to me like surya had a field day making samples for my new rug collection..because i just got this morroccan tile rug group today..and i am going bonkers!
these ought to satisfy those of you who were crushed to see the west elm rug disappear.
here is a fern green color that rocks..right?

annd i am dying over the combo of the dijon with the greige.
the chocolate is a classic that will go anywhere.
and here is the greige dijon in the reverse combo. lots to love.

yesterday, i got more of the rug images from India..and again..i am too thrilled. not to toot my own horn, but seeing a drawing is one thing, and finally seeing an actual rug from a simple jpeg is an entirely different experience altogether! i think they are brilliant, and i love them all. how to pick just one? the slate-y blue below is stunning..no?

new hexagon rugs

i just got these images from my rug partner Surya who decided to take my feedback and make some flatweaves from my newest designs. i have been completely floored by how much i love these. how would you decide which one to get..they are all so fun!
this green and blue is killer!

and this one is whisper great too. oh apologies for the yucky images..but they are all i have right now.

this morning i received a truly exciting email from the good people at Surya(the company that manufactures my branded rugs) with an attachment picturing the new rugs for my collection. i have been waiting an eon for these, and i am so so happy because i think these are looking wonderful, and oh so fun. hooray! i think the one above is my fave.

this one below just kills me, so happy and so crazy.
