twelve chairs {the bestest}

the other night we held our monthly boston design salon meeting at  the always fabulous twelve chairs in fort point channel.  the shop is run by a charming and talented duo designers miggy mason and roisin giese.

the shop is chock-a-block with wonderful finds for every occasion..i dare you to leave empty handed.  (i nabbed a new  yummy scented candle tatine's woodsmoke)
not only are these ladies amazing, generous people (we've hosted more than a few salon nights in their shop), they are brilliant interior designers..and their artistically curated shop is a testament to their mega skills.

                             what can i say..they like me too!  [pieces above are a collaboration]

their focus is on being earth friendly in all that they do..can i get an amen?

ooo lookee lookee! they like lawrence mcrae (coral bowl above) almost as much as i do!

i adore all of their artful vignettes.

so simultaneously cozy and modern

and when you are next in our ever groovifying hood..be sure to give us both a visit..cuz we're not just friends & collaboators...we're neighbors too!

Tassel Trunk

last friday evening i had a special event at Tassel Studio in Old Lyme Connecticut with my old friend erica of the E List who organized the event at the wildly fabby shop owned and operated by the marvelous Hannah Childs

Hannah is not only a warm and wonderful person..but she is a terrific decorina too!  i really shouldn't have..but i couldn't resist these 2 awesome gigandor ikat (Quadrille's "Kazak") pillows from her shop.  don't they make a perf gift for my daddy's bday?

(here they are sittin' pretty in my rent's lavender boudoir..ooo la la!)

thank you james!

yesterday, i travelled to Portland, Me., one of my favorite towns. after noshing on some yummy homemade chili and some delectable if pricey treats from Aurora (as the locals say "why pay less?")..it was back to fabric obsessing with my bff chris b. who is planning a renovation and was happy to join me in OCD land. when our friend james arrived he shared fantastic news, that i thought i would pass along. Fabricuts ( http://www.fabricut.com)a wholesaler of fabrics has very well priced ($23 a yd!) knockoffs of some of my faves..including ms. wearstler herself. feel free to go nuts, but the catch is that many of these fabrics are P-O-L-Y-E-S-T-E-R! now i really do not know what to do. hmmm?
