today's internet wandering led me to the extrordinary talent of charlotte moss acolyte, and Drew University senior (!) maximilian suinsterden. these photos are from a new york magazine photo shoot and they really blew me away. is this a holden caulfield moment or what? apparently young max is wont to have a fabby crowd of friends over to enjoy his well stocked bar! i mean..c'mon..the guy is ridunkul;ous! i think i love you maximilian!

i am loving this green wall color..where were you oh gorgeous ralph lauren tapestry green when i was searching high and low for the perfect shade of green?

friday night is pizza night

we are all on a holiday this week with my extended family..you know lots of cousins running around and much usage of water, nerf, and other assorted guns. but tonight is pizza night, and i am queen of pizza! feeling unsure of my current recipe, i went online this am to check out what the barefoot contessa recommends..and i found this gorgeous recipe. i love goat cheese and i am crazy for arugula, and though i have never grilled a pizza, this house is grill central, so i am excited to give it a try.

oy with this guy! will it ever stop? the gift show is pretty much the jonnie adler show as far as i am concerned..and the rest of us are just trying to play catch up. i mean let's be real. the guy is an uber genius. and if you ask him..he will tell you the same. i just love all of his work..and this season it has just come together better than ever! i mean..look at the baby room..could you die? too cute!


and check out the jewish merch. so wonderful. can you stand how perfect the menorah is? jonathan's work is incredible because he's decided that you get the joke. and of course..his work is so so joyful.

here is how we were looking in new york this week, and maybe you will get the idea what all the fuss was about. and how it all came together..finally! not only did we have an amazing time, but people were loving our work. grazie mille NYC!

New York Gift Show!

well..we did it! we loaded up the van headed down to NYC..set up the booth..and it all is looking fantastique! we will post pix as soon as we have a minute to breathe. the big news is that thanks to House Beautiful, everyone is making a beeline to our booth to check out the hampton links collection that we have proudly displayed..bang in the middle of the booth! wish me luck..we have 3 more days..and then life can go back to normal.

Postsecret Project

i visited with my dear friend chris who has a fantastic book at his house called "Postsecret" . it was created by Frank Warren who in 2005 began an ongoing community mail art project, in which people mail their secrets anonymously on a homemade postcard. He has compiled a large group of them in this book and continues to post them on his blog. I found them wonderful and of course disturbing in a marvelous way.

this week has been so nutty ..we only have another week until we head down to new york. but before bidding you adieu, i wanted to share these new items that we got out of the kiln this week. i am too excited about the way they look. they really make me feel like the whole look is truly coming together.
what really makes me laugh is how patriotic the vibe is turning out, and i never had that as my intention. ah well. such is the way of the designer. so much happens without you strongarming the thing. it has a way of finding the path..if you know what i mean. next step. naming everything!

new obsession: pillows

today i was home waiting for the dryer repairman to show up (9am appt. showed up at 11:15..oy do i need a wife!) and so i spent too much time obsessing over new pillows for my boudoir that could truly use some major spiffing up! here are some of the sweet choices i found.


the LR could use some pillows too. so i am thinking i have got to go with a red theme in there, while in the bedroom i am yearning for some navy! KwID imperial trellis below is most certainly drool worthy..but at $300 for the pair..i am not jumping on it.
this beauty below is very sweet...right?
