the oak long bar

last night i had a mightily unexpected treat when i met some friends over at the newly reno-ed Copley Plaza Oak Bar

this was always a true boston gem..housed inside the majestic Plaza Hotel..but it WAS looking pretty tired over there..and this makeover was just what the place needed!

it now feels like the most chic place to be in boston..and though i cannot speak to the food..the decor was the BOMB.   GO!

the truth is..i just cannot stay away from j crew.

so when it is time to think xmas for the whole family..i wonder if i

should resist the temptation?

 doesn't it all just say..'come and get me'?

even all the stuff for the little people is really great (though i do think it says 'mommy dressed me' a wee bit)

i think the looks for spring are looking delish.. lovedore-ing all these wonderfully happy color combos.

as well as the kooky pattern collages..it is all certainly food for thought..

as it is time to design our new spring collection here at the studio..so stay tuned.

emerald green

ever since pantone announced that emerald green was to be the 2013 color of the year..

i remembered that this color was soo on my radar..because of this pic of kayce hughes' daughter in her kitchen!

and then i realized..

someone else had been sayin' it for a while!

i mean..it is stunning..no?

though not always the easiest color to decorate around..it is a showstopper..right?

i love when you realize that it is everywhere..

repeat after me..emerald..emerald..emerald..say it enough and soon you'll love it too!
