my friend pica visited the studio the other day looking for gifts for her family members in mexico. we were able to find some really fun pieces that she went one better with by adding the candied pecans, the cello wrap and the bold JR stickers.
when i saw them this evening..i thought hey pica..nice package!

o how i love thee great pumpkin! happy halloween everyone. enjoy your trick or treating, and don't be like me and get sick scarfing your kid's candy.

candy stripes

i have been spending a lot of time lately staring longingly at candy stripes. you could say that i am a stripe maniac..never met a stripe i didn't like. i am wont to frolic in boat neck stripe T's.. and for years i made wonderful striped genie bottles. but then (even) i had to give them a rest. BUT! i am thinking they might be coming ba-aaack!

so today i took all my various props to the studio to shoot my halloween-y pics.

i do love the way the spoooky spiders turned out..but once i started i began to feel like i wished i had more props..

and i began to understand why rachel zoe says you cannot have too many things when you finally get to take the pix.

halloween

last night was an incredible night for halloween here in boston, and my kids did an amazing job creating original costumes from some basics we got at i party. thea was robin hood and loch was halloween man (his own concept) with a costume created by his sister. though it was mighty cold out, that did not stop them from scooping up hundreds of pieces of candy. as much as i encouraged them to call it quits early ( i was absolutely frozen) i had to remind myself what a thrilling night halloween must be for a child..when every adult stranger that they meet wants to give them candy!!!
