| last night i watched the moving and unforgettable PBS documentary Half The Sky by the NYT duo Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn. |

| the tagline of the film is "turning oppression into opportunity for women worldwide". and i hope that they will do. meanwhile, the film that is based on a book of the same title depicts the lives of women and giirls around the world who are struggling/suffering in their lives with the sometimes unbearable things that they have borne for generations. |
